The Sunday of summer, that's what I now think of when I think of August. This year, August was the slowest month for us and I welcomed it. We had a busy first half of the summer so it was nice to have quiet moments at home, hosting friends and enjoying the slow seasonal shift.

Early in the month, I participated in The Peach Festival in Emmaus, PA.

We went to The Easton Farmer's Market for the first time all summer. We got so many fresh local produce, meats and flowers. The blueberries were some of the best I ever had. I also made a possible connection for a local printer for our paper products which is really exciting. I've been using a USA based one, in another state. But a local printer that I could drive to would be great. It was a Saturday well spent!

National Book Lovers Day
I celebrated National Book Lover's Day by sharing some of the books that had a real effect on me.
You can read all about them HERE

Handmade Butter Dish
I also hosted a pop-up at one of my favorite places, barre3 Bethlehem.
Also, lots of collaboration with Lora Taub Studio on our butter dishes that are coming soon!

Months ago, we were in need of a butter dish so I reached out to Lora about the possibility of not just making one for me but some for Cozy Mercantile. It's been months in the making and trial and error on design, glaze, size etc. I wanted them to be functional but pretty and timeless with a makers mark unlike anything I've really seen on the market. We're in a good spot now and they are in the works!
I'm ready for the next season and all the exciting things to come for this little business. Thanks for all your support this summer!
